“Jake Paul Wouldn’t Last 60 Seconds to This Day”: Mike Tyson’s ‘Beast’ Physique Stuns Fans

In his prime, Mike Tyson faced some of the most formidable opponents in the Heavyweight division. Hence, technique apart, it required him to undertake a punishing physical regimen to condition his body.

Though it’s nearly two decades since he retired, many fans who frequently view Tyson’s old training videos believe that the standard he set for himself in those days is way above the reach of even modern-day boxers.

Reportedly, even during the prison term in the nineties, he maintained a very demanding fitness routine to keep himself ready for upcoming bouts.

Boxing Classic TV shared a collage of two pictures of Mike Tyson’s before and after looks. One when he was nineteen years old and the other when he was fifty-four. Despite the difference of thirty-five years, his ripped physique hit most fans and followers like a ton of bricks.

The barrage of comments that followed is now over a hundred. Nearly four thousand have given their likes as well.

Fans react to the image of ever-fit Mike Tyson

According to @Sam Luby, Mike Tyson is a real winner. Despite going through several setbacks, he made it a point to return. @Sam Luby even considered him “an animal” once.

He said, “Talk about a true champion in life. He has had all the trials and tribulations and has still come out on top.

At one point, I had condemned him for being an animal, and for that, I regret because I’d you really believe in redemption and forgiveness, then mike is the most powerful person I’ve ever seen. God bless you and your family.”

According to @George Schilling, Tyson has put much effort into getting a physique like this. “Iron Mike has worked hard and pack on more steel,” he said.

@Tom Cory feels that the former champion is still the same as he was in his prime. So much so that Jake Paul would barely last a minute if he fought even an aging Tyson, “Iron Mike’s a beast !!!! Jake Paul wouldn’t last 60 seconds to this day with Mike Tyson.“

@Ben Nagy said, “His psyche was fragile when he lost Cus. As a mentally mature man, he may be more efficient in the ring.” Perhaps he is going years since Mike Tyson lost his mentor and guardian, Cus D’Amato, just a few months after his professional debut. Probably the whole incident left him sad and broken. But later, as he matured, he recovered and regained the lost ground.

@Paul Winston believes that Mike Tyson may not be as strong as he appears and questioned his ability to take punishments inside the ring, “Chin still just as dodgy though as when Danny Williams sparked him.”

@Daniel Norman seemed astonished to find Mike Tyson in fine physical condition even after all these years. “Iron Mike looking in good shape still.” he said.

As much as most of the fans are amazed, it shouldn’t be forgotten that much of what Mike Tyson achieved is attributable to a strong work ethic that stipulated pains before the gains.

It was not something achieved over a day or a month. Instead, it was a process that took years and eventually became second nature for him.
