Kim Kardashian isn’t thrilled about it, but she’s choosing not to escalate the situation further. According to an exclusive source, Kardashian’s reaction to Swift’s “thanK you aIMee” is mixed, likely due to its speculated connection to their past feud involving Kanye West.

Kim Kardashian, the 43-year-old star of “The Kardashians,” is reportedly upset that Taylor Swift still holds negative feelings toward her. According to an insider, Kardashian believed their past issues were resolved and didn’t anticipate being drawn into Swift’s narrative again. However, she was aware of Swift’s tendency to draw from personal experiences for her music. Despite not publicly addressing Swift’s new song, Kardashian recently gave her first interview since its release, expressing that “Life is good” to Jimmy Kimmel. The day after the interview, she posted a throwback selfie from 2022 on her Instagram Stories, featuring herself, sister Khloé Kardashian, and Swift’s former friend Karlie Kloss.

In case you missed it, Us has plenty of info to break down TTPD. And while upon first glance, “thanK you aIMee” appears to be about someone named Aimee, but eagle-eyed fans quickly pointed out that the capital letters in the title spell out “Kim.”

In addition to the title nod, Swift, 34, alludes to her drama with Kardashian in the lyrics.

“When I picture my hometown / There’s a bronze spray-tanned statue of you,” she sings, seemingly describing Los Angeles. “And a plaque underneath it / That threatens to push me down the stairs at our school.”

Swift then slams Kardashian (or Aimee) for being a bully and “throwin’ punches” while she was “buildin’ something.”

In her song, Taylor Swift suggests that the feud with Kim Kardashian was never a fair battle, claiming Kardashian continuously belittled her progress and laughed at her efforts. Despite the adversities, Swift expresses gratitude towards her adversary, acknowledging the role she played in her healing process.

The rift between Kardashian and Swift originated in 2009 when Kanye West, Kardashian’s former husband, famously interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs, asserting that Beyoncé deserved the award instead. This incident marked the beginning of a longstanding conflict between the two celebrities.

The rift between Taylor Swift and Kanye West intensified when West released his song “Famous” in 2016, where he claimed that the MTV VMAs incident propelled Swift to superstardom. “That was a different time in Kim’s life and she feels her whole life is different now and she’s in a better place,” the source tells Us of Kardashian and West’s 2021 divorced.

When it comes to Swift, Kardashian would “love to mend things between them,” the insider says, “Kim truly wishes Taylor the best and hopes they can move on.”
